Omega PO service before and after-11263 -

Nice pictures and a fantastic story. Messages like that help to strengthen the feeling that Omega service is top-notch (even if the customer service isn't always so hot...)

I know Rolex do a great job servicing watches - but they are so aloof about what happens to your watch once you hand it over. You just put your watch on the tray at the service center and then x weeks later you get your watch back on the tray again WITH a bag of parts that they tell you were replaced. From my experience Omega makes the owner feel like he/she is somehow involved in the process. And I like that.

Omega Screw down crown issue-7326 -

Turn the crown backwards some while applying light pressure on it to push it against the case. You will feel the threads line up correctly which will allow you to screw it down all the way.

Roger Federer

Roger Federer once again gave his fans a reason to celebrate by winning the Rolex sponsored 2010 Australian Open, his 16th Grand Slam on Sunday, making it the fourth time following 2004, 2006 and 2007. Roger Federer gave a swift defeat to Andy Murray in the final, making his way to the top rank once again. After being victorious at the Wimbledon and the French Open, the 28 year old’s victory at the Australian Open reaffirmed the fact that he’s all set to kick off yet another season oozing with confidence and success. Roger Federer repulsively beat Andy Murray by 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (13/11) in the final. Speaking about his victory, Roger Federer gave all credit of his success to the new generation players.

Australian Open sponsored by Rolex marked the second time defeat of Andy Murray to Roger Federer following his 2008 US Open final defeat, taking forward the trail of Britain’s desire to achieve first male Grand Slam winner after Fred Perry made them proud 74 years ago. The defending champion Rafael Nadal had to stay out of tournament following his third set retirement in his quarter final with Andy Murray. The Australian Open Tournament proved out to be a bitter-sweet affair for Serbian third seed Novak Djokovic with his career taking a jump to rest at number two while his health deteriorating in the Grand Slam. With an upset stomach, Novak Djokovic faced a five set defeat to Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarter final. Novak Djokovic interestingly holds an odd record of maximum Grand Slam retirements. The US Open Champion Juan Martin del Potro was shown the way out by Marin Cilic in the fourth round after a humongous five setter.

Australian Open

Roger Federer took off with a powerful start, by breaking Andy Murray’s opening service, firing a second serve with a forehand down the line to crack a lead of 2-0. Following which Andy Murray earned a huge applaud from the audience for breaking Roger Federer’s serve. However, thereafter Roger Federer maintained his dominance on the court. The impressive performance by Russian sixth seed Nikolay Davydenko after his two victories over Roger Federer bit the dust when he eventually lost in four sets after leading 6-2, 3-1 in the quarter final. Nikolay Davydanko is a four time Grand Slam semi finalist and a six time quarter finalist but has yet to make it to the final. Speaking about his loss, Nikolay Davydenko expressed his disappointment at not making it this time as well. American player Andy Roddick faced a five-set defeat by Marin Cilic in the quarter final. The seventh seed also gave a tough fight despite of being two sets down with a shoulder nerve problem but still did not have his way to success. The match between Roger Federer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga remained lopsided with Federer beating Tsonga by 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 in semi final. Later Jo-Wilfried Tsonga confessed of being tired out due to playing back to back five-set matches. At conclusion of the first grand slam of the year and continuing with his winning streak and stupendous success in Grand Slams, Roger Federer looked elated at his one of many Rolex sponsored Australian Open victories.
